The closing ceremony of the National Pre-Yoga Olympiad 2024 was held with grandeur and fervor, marking the culmination of three exhilarating days. The event, held at St. Stephen's School, witnessed 160 participants from ten diverse regions showcasing their remarkable physical prowess, stamina, and the empowering spirit of Yoga.
The ceremony commenced on a euphoric note. On behalf of the esteemed director and founder Mr. Harold Carver and Diana ma'am, Principal, Mr. Barry Francis extended special greetings to the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Arijit Basu, Deputy Secretary Finance of the CISCE, and acknowledged the presence of the respected judges, dedicated managers, skilled coaches, and enthusiastic participants representing the vibrant diversity of India.
The Western Choir of St. Stephen's School set an inspirational tone with their performance of 'Don't Give Up,' reminding everyone of the importance of perseverance and resilience. This was followed by a dynamic Bhangra performance, a traditional folk dance from Punjab, which highlighted the harmonious connection between physical strength and mental resilience, echoing the holistic nature of Yoga.
The ceremony concluded with the much-awaited prize distribution. Mr. Arijit Basu, along with Principal Mr. Barry Francis and Vice Principal Mr. John Xavier, graciously felicitated the winners. The event was a resounding success, celebrating not only the ancient wisdom of Yoga but also the unity and diversity of India.
