World Wildlife Week (1st-7th Oct)
2023-10-01
The students from the Interact Club of St. Stephen's School enthusiastically took part in World Wildlife Week from October 1st to October 7th, raising awareness and taking action towards the preservation of our planet's precious wildlife.
One of the main activities organized by the club was a tree plantation drive. In addition to the tree plantation, the Interact Club arranged a visit to the local zoo to observe and learn about different species up close. This educational excursion allowed the students to expand their knowledge about various animals, their habitats, and the challenges they face.
The Club also decided to take their commitment further by adopting several zoo animals. This initiative involved providing financial support for the upkeep and welfare of these animals.
Throughout the week, the Interact Club members actively engaged their peers, teachers, and the wider community in raising awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation. They organized a special assembly discussing about various environmental topics and emphasized the need to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity.
The World Wildlife Week activities conducted by the Interact Club left a lasting impact not only on the participating students but also on the entire school community.
