Stephen's welcomes "The Lahore Grammar School" from Pakistan
Staff and students from "The Lahore Grammar School" celebrated a common heritage of love peace and harmony at St. Stephen's School, Sector 45-B, Chandigarh. Eighteen girls from Lahore Grammar School along with their Principal and teachers are visiting Chandigarh as part of a peace initiative by "The Society for the Promotion of Peace". They sung beautiful songs by Baba Fareed ji, the most sung Sufi poet in Pakistan, and performed a mesmerizing play "Birha tu Sultan", a production with dance, drama and mime which was based on the life and works of Baba Fareed.
The girls of St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45-B, Chandigarh extended a warm hand of friendship and love by presenting each girl with a beautiful traditional friendship band and a diya symbolizing unity, love, peace and harmony.
The children of both schools exchanged their views and enjoyed interacting with each other. They then bid farewell to each other with the hope to see each other again
