Nature's Glory Eco Club of St. Stephen's School in collaboration with DEEKSHA celebrated World Environment Day in Dhakoli Village in a unique manner. Under-privileged students of Jeevan Mukt Nihshulk Vidyalaya of the age 5 to 15 gathered in an open park. The Programme started with a small prayer on Nature followed by stories on Environment. A game of garbage separation was played with students in which they segregated the waste in different categories like polythene waste, home waste, paper waste, tetra waste etc. Drawing competitions were organized on the theme ENVIRONMENT DAY in which Shilpa came first and second was Bharti. They were given medals and colors as prizes. They danced on different different songs followed by plantation drive. Children planted different types of plants like medicinal plants, fruit plants etc. At the end they were given refreshments. Children enjoyed very much and learned the importance of nature.
