Uday Singh Memorial Inter School Extempore - 2013 Uday Singh Memorial Inter School Extempore was held on April 27, 2013. This extempore is held every year for Uday on his birth anniversary. He was in St. Stephen's from 1994 to 2000. He was born in Jaipur on April 23, 1982 & was killed in action in Habbaniyah, Iraq during operation Iraqi Freedom on December 1, 2003.
The topic of the extempore was "The Power of Encouragement".
Ten schools participated.
St. Stephen's School, Sector 45, won the trophy.
Simren Seby Thomas of Carmel Convent, Sector 9, Chandigarh was adjudged the first position.
Insha Pandit of St. Stephen's School, Sector 45, Chandigarh got the second position.
The three judges were Father Dominic, Vicar General, Gen. Raj Mehta (Retd Armd Corps Officer) and Mr John Saijal.
