A Tribute
2016-05-31
A light from our lives has gone, a voice we loved and cherished is stilled. It has become a memory in the pages of eternity which will get strengthened with each passing day.
It is with a heavy heart and profound grief that we mourn the passing away of our dear Carver Sir's brother, Richard Carver Sir, and our very own former student, Sarthak Bandlish. They both left for their heavenly abode in May, 2016 after battling with cancer. Their death has left a void in the hearts of all Stephenians and we send our deepest expressions of sympathy to the bereaved families and friends.
We give thanks to our Almighty God for the lives of Richard Sir and Sarthak and may we forever find ways to keep our memories of them alive. Each of these losses remind us about how precious, and sometimes fleeting, life can be. They also remind us of the importance of reaching out to one another to offer strength and support and to seek help when needed.
Their lives stand as sterling examples of courage, selflessness and an unwavering sense of commitment to their mission in life. They exemplified love, zeal and irrepressible belief in perceiving the best in everything that life had to offer, be it joy, sorrow or pain. Words cannot pay tribute or truly capture the sense of loss, a loss that is tangible and real within each one of us.
No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, we take solace in knowing that they are now resting in the arms of our Lord. When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. They are and will always be alive in our hearts and minds and their memories will be etched in our hearts forever.
Today, as we honour them by paying a tribute to their courage, steadfastness and conviction, let us try to emulate the path that they travelled leaving behind their footprints on the sands of time.
