The Inter School Competitions

The D.A.V. College recently held a State level Philatelic Exhibition in which the students of St. Stephen’s bagged several prizes. The competitions were held for the various categories like Quiz, Letter writing, Group Discussion and Stamp Designing. The Headmaster of our school, Mr. Louis Lopez congratulated the winners and distributed the certificates and trophies during the morning assembly held on Monday, February 8 at St. Stephen’s school.
In the Quiz competition, our wizards, Divij Singhal and Lakshit Rattan secured the first position, defeating some of the best schools of Chandigarh. Our students did marvellously well at the Letter Writing Competition where Anvita Bharadwaj won the first prize and Jyotinder Inder bagged the second prize. The Group Discussion competition too was a hands down victory for our debater, Shayiq Ahmed Shah. Last but not least, the Stamp Designing Competition had many surprises in store too, with Harsimran Kaur securing the second place. Anisha Saini and Tarushi Garg finished a close third with a tie between them.
