As informed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide letter no. D.O. No.11-22/2014-RMSA-I/ICT, the Honble Prime Minister of India would be interacting with school children on the occasion of Teachers Day on the 5th of September, 2014 in person in Delhi and through satellite link at NIC centres in Leh, Ladakh, Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar, Silchar in Assam, Imphal in Manipur, Bhuj in Gujarat, Dantewada in Chhatisgarh and Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu.
The Honble PMs address and Q & A session with school children will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Prime Ministers interaction with students would be telecast live by Doordarshan through its national and regional channels. It would also be available through live webcasting on different platforms of Doordarshan and the website of MHRD (http:/mhrd.gov.in/).
All the schools are requested to make arrangements to assemble the children on the 5th of September, 2014 in order that the children may view the Prime Ministers address.
Suitable arrangements will need to be made to enable children stay from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m in the school on the 5th of September, 2014.
The live programme may be accessed through either of the following media:
o TV and facility for reception of TV signal either through DTH satellite, cable or arial
o Internet access devices (Computers/laptops/mobile etc.)
o Radios/transistors (for very remote areas where arrangement of TV viewing facility is not possible)
Alternate arrangement may be made in the schools for electricity through generators/inverters.
The schools may also flash this message on their schools website.
A report on the arrangements made by your school and the number of students who are likely to be covered may be sent to the CBSE by the 1st of September, 2014 (5:00 p.m.) through the following Google form: PMs live address to school children
