The Uday Memorial Debate Competition, a tradition dating back to 2006, was held on April 23, 2025, in memory of Sergeant Uday Singh, a former student who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2003. Nine teams from various parts of the Tri-City and neighboring areas participated with great enthusiasm in the debate on "Globalization erodes Cultural Identity." Each speaker was given four minutes to present their arguments, followed by a minute for rebuttals. The debates were meticulously judged by esteemed educationists Ms. Navneet Grewal and Mrs. Indra Arora, based on criteria such as content, articulation, confidence, delivery, and rebuttal.
The prestigious Uday Memorial Trophy was awarded to the Host School, St. Stephen's School, Chandigarh, in recognition of their exceptional performance. Additionally, Khushneer Kaur Mann from Yadavindra Public School, Mohali was bestowed with the title of Best Speaker for her exemplary oratory skills.
