Workshop on Aeromodelling 11,12 January 2025

A unique opportunity for hands-on learning was provided to our students when Boeing organized a workshop on Aeromodelling at the IIT Kanpur Campus on January 11-12, 2025. The workshop, attended by students from the North Zone, was a thrilling experience for Shivansh Goel (9A), Siddharth Vimal(9D), Deep Singh(9D), Deven Birania (9D) and Mridul Sood (9E), accompanied by their Physics teacher, Ms. Sheetal Fernandes.
During the workshop, students were guided on designing their own aircraft using Styrofoam. Under the expert supervision of trained IIT mentors, they successfully designed and assembled the aircraft, laying down the circuit and testing it with a wireless transmitter. The climax of the workshop was when the students got to fly their creations at the IIT campus airstrip.
This enriching experience not only taught the students the intricacies of aeromodelling but also instilled in them the confidence to design and execute complex projects. The workshop concluded with the students being awarded certificates, commemorating their successful participation.
