SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON SERGEANT UDAY SINGH

In an emotionally charged gathering, St. Stephen's School paid homage to one of its own, Sergeant Uday Singh, an ex-student who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the nation. The special school assembly, held on 2nd December 2024, was a solemn, yet inspiring occasion that united students, faculty, and Uday's parents to honour the life and legacy of a hero.
The assembly began with the placing of the wreath on Uday's bust. As the school choir sang the School anthem, the air was filled with both pride and sorrow, reflecting the profound loss of someone who once walked the very assembly area of the institution.
The special ceremony also witnessed the award ceremony honouring the meritorious students who have upheld the integrity, leadership qualities, dedication, dependability and love for English language which were the traits of our brave soldier Sergeant Uday Singh.
Ebadat Kaur received the cash award of Rs. 5000/- for her integrity, leadership qualities and dependability.
Aarav Gupta received the cash award of Rs. 5000/- for the highest score in English through out the last session including the Board results.
Babita and Nihal Singh got the cash award of Rs. 7500 each under the privileged student category.
The assembly concluded with a powerful message by our Principal, Mr. Barry Francis, who emphasized the importance of remembering and valuing the sacrifices made by the soldiers.
