On this day a Special Assembly by students of Junior school was conducted with a slogan of "Make Chandigarh Girl Child Friendly City"
Pink was the colour of the day and voice for girls' rights was in the minds and hearts of all the students of the school with girl students wearing pink Turbans and boys wearing pink stoles. Even the teachers came dressed in pink shirts, suits and sarees. The assembly was initiated with a melodious hymn by the western Choir, followed by a poem and a street play.
Chief guest for the day was Mr. Promod Sharma, the founder of Yuvsatta and a unique 'Girls India'.
