1. A team shall consist of maximum two students and only one team from each participating school can participate.
2. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and cannot be contested.
3. Participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
4. Questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Visuals, Specific-answer question etc.
5. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.

Elimination Round
1. Each team would be given a set of 20 multiple choice objective type questions.
2. Time limit - 20 minutes.
3. Only 6 Teams would be selected for final stage rounds.
4. In case of a tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.
5. The selected teams shall have to appear for the final round.

Final Quiz - Stage Rounds

In rounds 1 and 2, the participants will be shown a grid of question numbers. They may select any question number and that question will be asked from them. Both these rounds will be pounce rounds. All teams will get an equal opportunity to answer. E.g. If it is team A's turn to answer, a question will be directed to Team A. This team will not answer right away. The other teams may pounce on the question and raise their hands. They will then write the answer on a paper which the Quiz Master will check separately and evaluate. They get marks for answering correctly and get negative score for incorrect answer. After checking the other teams, Team A will be asked for the correct answer.

Also, if a team feels lucky, then it may, before answering the question, announce that they want "Double". If they answer the question correctly, they get double the marks, otherwise double marks get subtracted from their score.

Round 3: Toss Up Round: A question will be asked. If the team answers this correctly, they get 2 bonus questions (of 15 marks each) to answer otherwise they do not get any question at all. The questions to the team will stop when a team answers a question incorrectly.

Clues Round: A question will be asked (Score 20). If a team answers correctly, they get 20. If they do not know the answer, they can ask for a clue. They will be given a clue, but the score for a correct answer will be 15. Each subsequent clue will reduce the score by 5 marks. Maximum 3 clues will be given.

Rapid Fire Round: 10 questions will be asked from each team in 60 seconds (each).

Event 3. Programming

A team shall consist of maximum three students and only one team from each participating school can participate.

1. Each team will be allowed to use only a single computer and must write and test their programs on that machine, within the contest room.
2. All teams will be given the same set of problems to solve.
3. Contestants cannot bring any notes or textbooks to the contest room. Blank sheets and pencils will be supplied.
4. Observers will be assigned to observe teams throughout the contest and report any problems and/or violations of the rules to the Contest Committee.
5. Contestants in the same team can discuss the problems they are assigned. However, they should do so in a quiet way and without disturbing contestants in other teams.
6. Problem solutions may be coded in C, C++, Java or BASIC (any variant of BASIC).
7. The contestants will be given a set of test data. They will test the programs using the test data and write the results on the answer sheet.
8. The programs will be based on mathematical calculations and will test the students' knowledge of the basic programming constructs - Decision making, Iterations. Programs using arrays or strings will NOT be asked.
9. The programs will be judged on
a. Correct Output
b. Efficiency
