Uday Singh- An Inspiration

'Down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid'

Some people are born heroes some people become heroes, but some people do things that not only makes them heroes but also their parents, and before the whole world are an inspiration that forever remains with us to remember and to cherish. People like Sergeant Uday Singh are legends. Uday Singh, a friend, a son, a brother, but above all, a person who has not just become a youth icon, but the very face of today's youth. He personified passion, fire, zeal and had a intense urge to ask questions against what is wrong. He had the determination to change the way the world thinks; the grit and attitude which never ever made him accept defeat. He was somebody who was able to earn that eternal and priceless respect that many of us just dream of. He just didn't earn place for self in this dog eat dog world, but the world itself is privileged to provide land to a hero like Uday for sacrificing his life fighting for peace. Life is always harsh for people like us, but for him, life was just a game which he played cheerfully. Even on the battlefield no bullet no bomb no attack could even reduce even an inch of smile which Uday always wore on his face. That smile was truly perpetual. Uday left behind a legacy, a legacy to get inspired from, a legacy which brightens our eyes with small shiny pearls when thought of.

Very few people have the courage the selflessness that Uday showed while fighting not for himself, but for you, for me, for us, he sacrificed himself to bring a smile on a few faces he had the guts to take a stand when someone asked for a finger, he gave a hand, even today people remember him not because he died for a noble cause, but ensured that God still makes people who place others before themselves, get wounded to protect others, share their own happiness to take away others problems. I am sure that wherever Uday is, he still smiles when someone helps others, still mourns when someone faces injustice, still rejoices for someone's happiness and still cries for someone's sadness. He was someone who changed people around him and made them into better human beings
We remember you always Uday. Our respect for you is eternal and endless. I can do nothing else but salute you!
